Welcome to Ormeau Shearers Junior and Senior Rugby League Football Club.

We are a not-for-profit sporting club located at the northern end of the Gold Coast.

We play in the Gold Coast competition - juniors play  Saturdays; Senior men & boys U18 Division 1 play Sunday games and Senior women & girls play mostly Saturdays.

We have junior mixed teams from U6 - U12, boys teams from U13 - U18,  girls teams U14, U16 & U18 as well as Men's Opens teams (U20s, DLC & A-Grade) and last but never least, we also have Open Women's teams.

We are a family friendly club run solely by volunteers.

We encourage all families to get involved with their child's sport and offer a variety of ways in which you can become actively involved.

All visitors to Brien Harris Oval MUST

check in via the provided EVA app.

You must carry a face mask with you at all times when away from home unless you have a lawful reason not to. You must wear a mask in indoor spaces. You are also required to wear a mask in outdoor spaces if you are unable to physically distance 1.5 metres.

Ormeau Shearers RLFC would like to acknowledge and thank the Australian Government through the Australian Sports Commission (SportAus) for its significant contribution of $500,000 towards the construction of our community clubhouse and unisex changerooms which was delivered at a total cost of $812,000. This grant, together with contributions from other funding partners (Cr Donna Gates & Gold Coast City Council, Rugby League Gold Coast, the club and Gambling Community Benefit Fund) and support from Bert van Manen MP was pivotal in bringing this long awaited project to fruition.
Project benefits include:
Increased sport participation and provision of safer facilities.
Community hub infrastructure for Ormeau providing sport, recreational and community groups with a home for meetings, functions and events.
Facilities are compliant for females and thus support female participation.
Numerous jobs were supported through construction which is critically important on the Gold Coast given the Pandemic.
Without the support of government funding this project could not have been delivered.
